"Seasonal Amusement" or "Recreational" Employees

Seasonal amusement or recreational employees are not required by law to receive overtime pay or the minimum wage. A definition of “seasonal amusement” or “recreational” job is that it only operates for less than seven months a year, or during the preceding calendar year, its average earning for any six months was not less than 33% more than its earnings from the rest of the year. There is a complicated test regarding this matter. Check with an attorney for more details.
